Penelope Roskell’s One-day Healthy Piano playing course

July 14th 2019

A workshop for all pianists on Penelope Roskell’s approach to healthy piano technique. 

 

This two-day London workshop is open to pianists of all levels who are interested in investigating new methods of healthy piano technique. Morning sessions focus on posture and general technique.  Afternoon sessions are in the form of discussion on specific techniques and a masterclass.  Participation in the masterclass sessions is reserved for pianists of Grade 8 standard and above.

Fee: £150 (ISM and EPTA members £140). Full-time music students £100. 
Occasionally a scholarship can be offered to an outstanding masterclass participant.

Penelope Roskell’s Three-day Advanced Piano Course

 

October 18th to 20th 2019

A course for pianists of Grade 8 and above, focussing on repertoire, technique, and healthy piano playing. 

This course is ideal for pianists who are preparing for concerts, competitions, diplomas or auditions, or for anyone experiencing technical problems, physical tension, injuries or nerves. The course is run as a series of informal masterclasses with plenty of opportunity for discussion and ends with a concert on the Sunday afternoon.

Limited to nine students per course for maximum participation.  Occasionally a scholarship can be offered to an outstanding student.

Fee: £195 (ISM and EPTA members £185). Full-time music students £120.

Venue

 

All London workshops take place at Penelope’s beautiful studio in London N16 which includes a separate practice room, an attractive garden and relaxation areas. A list of suitable local accommodation at a range of prices is available on request.
